Miss Me?

I know its been a really long time - Im trying I promise to start again. I just have so much going on and seem to have no time for .... me (well you :P).

Do you miss me, should I start blogging again!?

It took being a single parent to understand and realize it

But I totally love this child. Shes my mini-me and when she looks at me like this I know she loves me.

:) Just an UPDATE

Jossalyn will be 7 months - yes SEVEN months - on Saturday. So I thought I would update you on things she can do or likes!

1- Sleeps through the night, has been sleeping 11-13 hours a night since about 8 weeks. Now given there will be a night or two here or there that she wakes up and wants changed and lays right back down but its few and far between.

2- Has a very set daily schedule and DEFINITELY doesn't like when it fluctuates.

• Wakes up 6:30 am and nurses
  M-F I keep her up at this point; she sits in her swing and watches NOGGIN while I get ready so she takes her morning nap with whoever is watching her or on Sat/Sun she goes back to sleep for alittle bit.
  
• Wakes up and nurses then eats breakfast (she is eating 2 cubes of the babyfood I made and froze or oatmeal).
  
• Naps shortly after anywhere from 40mins to 2 hours at best.
  
• Wakes and nurses and plays until 1 pm nap and repeat again at 4. She also eats lunch (see above fruit or veggie).
  These naps are usually shorter (30mins to 1 hr).
  
• Wakes and plays with Derek until time to eat dinner and goes to bed between 6 and 8pm.3 - She can sit up on her own.

4- Can roll over from belly to back AND back to belly.

5- Can do the "push up" position. And is doing little hops instead of crawling. She likes to stand up on her feet while on her hands and knees.

6- Loves to babble - baba, dada are the two most popular sounds coming from her these days!

7- LOVES to be sung to or when you play the guitar to her.

8- She is a dog lover - she thinks Hunter is hilarious. She likes to pet her aka: grabbing fistsfuls of her fur.

9- She loves the camera!!! (or anything that is too expensive for her to play with. Her #1 is our cellphones)

10- She likes to be surprised.

I really feel like a blog-loser since I have really slacked on the posting front but hopefully after this Friday I will start to feel better and get more done each day so I can spend sometime updating everyone!!!

Just about me - alittle Jo I suppose too!

This past weekend whilst in VIRGINA we went over to JACK BROWNS TATTOO REVIVAL and got some more work done. Here is my foot - DEFINATLY wouldn't recommend getting a foot done. Or getting something of that size with that much detail atleast. It was definatly not "good" feeling but after an hour and a half I was done and in a bit of shock (chattering my teeth and whatnot) but was done and ready to relax while Derek sat for his outline of the beginning of his sleeve.

Here is the top, NO my toes are not THAT dirty its the leftover ink from the outline.

TERRIFIED

I believe when she goes in for her 6month appointment on Wednesday she gets her MMR vaccine and I am TERRIFIED.

I truly trust our pedi and what he says but just that slight chance that something could go wrong terrifies me. Jossalyn has such a personality and is such and incredibly delightful and happy little girl I would be devistated to lose that if something would go wrong and her immune system couldn't take it.

I don't know why I am posting this and I know I have the option to NOT allow the MMR vac but I also (i know its just tv) watched an episode of some show the other day and alittle baby died from NOT getting the shot BC he got the measles.

Oh why does parenting have to be so difficult!!

HAPPY 6 MONTHS!!

I can't believe my little Ju Ju Be is already SIX months old today! The time is just flying by us. I will take the obligatory SIX month photo when she gets up from her nap but for now enjoy 2 pictures from our tattoo appointment this past weekend in her "I can't wear pink everday" onesie that her Aunts bought her :P Definatly fitting!!

I was definalty worried about her since we were at Jack Browns forever but she was amazing. (Took two naps and was in a good mood in between that!)

Seriously - Im sorry - PLEASE forgive me.

I have been such a bad blogger - I just have been so exhausted recently and by the time I get home from work I just want to crash and not do anything. Anyways I saw this on someone elses blog so I figured it would allow me to do a quick post to let you know we are still alive :)

I am: A Wife, Mother, Sister, Daughter, Friend, Business Owner, Executive Assistant, Musician of sorts, Free thinker, Baby food making, Breastfeeding, 40 hour a work working, 20 something woman.
I think: I could do alot better at making the best of the life I have chosen.
I know: I have truely some of the best friends in the world.
I want: To be the best parent I can possibly be.
I dislike: Feeling exhausted all day.
I miss: Have NO responsiblities.
I fear: Being alone. I have always had this fear and it causing me anxiety issues if I dwell on it.
I hear: Transformers playing on the TV behind me. "Criminals are HOT"
I smell: Nothing really.
I crave: SLEEP!!!
I cry: way too much still. The past few days have left me thinking if my PPD is really a thing of the past.
I search: for ways to get everything done each day.
I wonder: What the future holds for my family.
I regret: NOTHING. Regret is something I have sworn off since I can remember, never regret your choices. If they were wrong LEARN FROM THEM!
I love: Waking up in the morning to Dereks arms around me.
I care: What others think of me.
I always: Find comfort in hugs.
I worry: About EVERYTHING, even the things I cant control.
I am not: To the point where I would like to be physically.
I remember: EVERYTHING from labor & delivery!!
I believe: That Jossalyn is the most beautiful baby EVER.
I dance: Not anymore- but I used to. I wasn't the best but I enjoyed it.
I sing: To Jossalyn.
I don't always: Think before I speak.
I argue: HORRIBLY, I will argue even when I know I am wrong.
I write: Well I try to keep a journal but Im too tired by the time I get around to it.
I win: At Scrabble :P Derek and I used to have tournaments all the time... I miss that.
I lose: At everything else!
I wish: That I will never see dissapointment in Jossalyns eyes but know thats impossible.
I listen: less than I should.
I don't understand: Why I am such a pushover!
I can usually be found: At work or At home. Pick one!
I am scared: Of really messing up.
I forget: Nothing. I am a big forgiver but not a forgetter.
I am happy: .....

Seriously - 3 posts in one night - Im really slacking!

It was warmer than usually the other day so we decided since we both had off to spend some time with Jossalyn outside and put her feet in the grass for the first time :)

Okay seriously where has the time flown? Jossalyn is now eating Oatmeal WITH A SPOON. And wants to hold the spoon and feed herself!! We will be starting baby food next month already!!

Seriously Martha.... MOVE THE TRUCK OVER!!!

I'm now stepping up and claiming my spot as the official "Suzy Homemaker" (although I still clean for crap :P and still haven't posted pictures of our cleaned kitchen!!) BUT... I did stay up until 2 am the other day making homemade baby food.

I will post another time about how I did all of it once I get my pictures off my camera (I lost my cord that connects it to the computer and I didn't have a card in so they saved to the memory) anyways... Here's what I made!!! Seriously - I'm UBER proud and can't wait til next month for her to start trying everything :)

I put everything in Zip-lock bags and froze them (good for 3 months)

Seriously - how awesome is that :) Next I will be doing Avocado's, Squash and possibly some fruits (apples/peaches/banana). I plan on doing some every weekend to keep our supply up!!

update:

Jossalyn is feeling NO better this morning (meaning we won't be attending church this morning ... 3rd week in a row UGH! Last week was because her morning nap routine got all messed up by the freaking time change and the week before that I had to work)

Well Jossalyn did sleep, heavily from 7:00 - 4:30 (when Derek got home from work). I think she heard us talking and wanted to join in; but thats probably the first time in weeks she has woken up and wanted to eat that early, sometimes she gets up at 6 but just eats and goes back down. She got up and Derek fed her a bottle (bc I WAS pumping at the time she woke up so I woudn't have had anything to give her) and we laid her back down and she feel back asleep and woke up around 8:30.

Shes napping right now, finally. She was realllllly fighting it today. Rolling over everytime I laid her down. Shes buring up but her temp is only 99.6. I have her in a shortsleeved onsie and have a little blanket with her. Poor little girl.

Worst thing though is her voice. From coughing so much & so hard (trying to break up all the mucus) and crying most of the late afternoon yesterday her voice is almost gone and its cracking when she cries and its real high pitched :( It sounds so cute but it makes me so sad :(

SAVE ME PLEASE!

Okay I know Im sorry its been well over a week since I posted last and NO I didn't forget about you; I got promoted (did I tell you I got promoted yet?!) I am now the owners assistant :) Go Me! And am working 40 hours a week so I am pretty much spent by the time I come home and just want to relax and I know your Jossalyn fix needs tended too so before I go watch some crappy LIFETIME movie let me just tell you how our day went. Jossalyn is sick, stuffy/runny nose, 99.8 fever, hacking cough, sneezing, miserable ... just miserable.

So.. She cried pretty much all afternoon

Then she would fall asleep and cat nap for 30 mins or so.Then wake up and be good for a little bit, then repeat x 7hours!

Sorry guys I ended up having to work way longer than expected today.

I did get the living room cleaned but only 1/2 the kitchen so I'll finish tomorrow and post pictures. I have to work 9-4 then Im going to get my new "mom" hair-cut then I'll be back to finish cleaning and I'll post!!

RE-DICK-U-LOS!

Yep - sometimes I just give up on being the perfect housewife and let it all go for a few days.

In this case I let it go for 1/2 a week and look what we get!!

Well I have the morning off so tomorrow will be spent cleaning everything during Jossalyn's morning nap.

Modivation for this post came after reading kimmy's blog about how her kitchen was awful. Although I have a dishwasher and she does not! And her post was just her kitchen and mine is including our living room/office table which makes mine even more embarassing!

Please tell me someone else has let their house go and get this awful before?

25 Random Things

1. I have issues with how old I look - I think I look like a little kid and not like a wife & mother.

2. I adore the smell of Jossalyn's breath, even though it smells like boobs :P

3. I crave the feeling of cold hands on my forehead, I actually made Derek keep putting his hands on the window in the hospital room and then run over and put them on my face when I was in labor.

4. I don't drink alcohol, not really, not because I have a moral thought against it but because I
have yet to find a drink I 'like' other than cherryberry-pucker & sprite!

5. I LOVED being pregnant because it was 'cute' to be fat & I didn't have to worry about my figure.

6. I have probably the WORST smelling feet.

7. Technically I am the youngest of 6. I have 1 older half-sister, Amber (dad's first marriage), 1 brother, Boyd (dad's second marriage) and 2 step-brothers; Raymond & Wayne and 1 step-sister, Carolyn (dad's third marriage).

8. I was born on Friday the 13th, as were my 13th, 16th, 18th & 21st birthdays :)

9. I was once told I was a "legend" and the best female booking agent in the tri-state area. I have been in this industry for 7 years this month.

10. I clean the best when I am highly pissed off! (Derek will deliberately start fights if I've been lazy and the house is a mess :P)

11. I hate to blow dry & fix my hair.

12. I don't find myself to be beautiful.

13. I love to drink ice cold water.

14. I drive in silence most of the time.

15. I truly enjoy going to church and have only miss 3 times since Christmas (1st because I was out of state, 2nd because I had company over (The Dreaming), 3rd because I had to work).

16. I was the person to suggest to Zacky Vengeance (Avenged Sevenfold) to cut the fingers out
of his gloves and play when its cold - he made it a staple in his wardrobe for quite some time after that.

17. I have seen Neil Diamond twice. :) And cried during both shows!

18. I love being hugged.

19. I absolutely LOVE holding hands with my husband.

20. I can remember the first time I realized I was "in love" with Derek. I was standing in an elevator in Hilton Head, SC and a boy walked in wearing 'TOMMY' and the smell triggered me to think of Derek and it just clicked, I knew I didn't want to spend another minute away from him. I actually made my mom drive me to Myrtle Beach the next day where Derek and his family were for vacation just so I could spend the day with him :P (actually his dad met us half way but still!)

21. I am late for work at least 10-30 mins EVERYDAY.

22. I have ran out of gas 10 times in 9 years :) Yes, I know ridiculous.

23. Hearing Jossalyn laugh can change my mood in the drop of a hat.

24. I am a sucker when it comes to seeing Derek play with Jossalyn. Its the most precious sight to me. To see how much he loves her is amazing!

25. I want to have another child but am TERRIFIED about having a difficult pregnancy since this one was (almost) perfect, am TERRIFIED at the thought of purposefully going through labor again and TERRIFIED we will end up with a difficult cry baby since Jossalyn is amazing!

Sorry for the lengthy delay!

I wish I could say it was for a good reason but that would be a big fat stinky lie. Ive been SO lazy recently and just been feeling blah! I hadn't done laundry in so long that Derek didn't have any pants left for work so I spent all day doing laundry but that did make me feel alittle better!

Just wanted to update some pictures since I have a ton I have to unload from the camera and post soon as well. I promise I'll make every effort to do it tomorrow, I know you all need your Jossalyn fixes!

I COULD SCREAM!!

Seriously, explain to me how I drop Josie off with my gram at 2:30, so I can go to work, and I just call to check to see how everything is going and she says she's on her 3rd, yes THIRD, bottle.

Its been 2 hrs. and 10 mins.

She should have only had ONE so far!!!! No wonder she never seems full after nursing anymore!!!
